Last night's Needle Nerds meeting started off with a bump but turned out to be fun. We were supposed to meet at Michaels, but when I arrived early to get the coffee started I was surprised to discover that a cake decorating class was underway in the classroom! I moved out to the parking lot in hopes of catching the Needle Nerds as they were walking into the store, but, alas, some had arrived early to get some shopping done.

We finally all collected in the parking lot and decided to move the meeting over to the Starbucks across the street. Starbucks was very accommodating and so we had a fun and productive meeting after all. The Starbucks restaurant is not very large, and there were 10 Needle Nerds who showed up so we filled up the restaurant.

We'll try Michaels again next month....If we can work out the logistics, I think Michaels will be a great place to hold our meetings. I'll stop by the store later on and see about getting our meeting formally added to their calendar...

Sorry for the confusion! I'm glad you all showed up and look forward to seeing you next month.
