4 parts water / 1 part sugar

Don't waste your money on that red hummingbird stuff, use a Mason jar and make your own hummingbird nectar. A Mason jar works great because it has five 4 oz increments already marked off.
  1. Add sugar to the first 4 oz marker
  2. Pour boiling hot water into the Mason jar up to the 20 oz marker
  3. Stir to dissolve the sugar
  4. When the solution cools down, fill hummingbird feeder.
