October's Meeting & an Updated Website
I've updated the Needle Nerds website to change the look and freshen it up.
You'll also want to check out the new Community page.
One of our needlers, Bronwyn, has a husband who is in Kuwait until next summer. It is starting to get cold there and we thought it would be a nice thing to create an afghan for him. So here's the plan..... between now and November 5th, crochet or knit a couple of 8 inch squares. Use a worsted weight, machine washable thread in a good color (no pink please). Bring what you've knitted or crocheted to November's meeting, and we'll see what we've got and devise a plan to piece together an afghan for him.
Another fellow needler, Debra Bond is collecting hats, mittens, scarves, baby blankets and other knitted or crocheted items for the United Way. If you have anything to contribute, please email Debra.
Thelma and I have been talking about hosting a beginning knitting workshop in January. If you're interested in attending, send me an email.
We had a really great meeting on Monday and several new needlers showed up. I hope to see you all at November's meeting.
