Meeting between rainfall
The Needle Nerds met last Monday, despite the potential storms from
Katrina. It was great meeting a couple of new needlers who showed up:

Peggy finished up a cute crocheted "cradle purse" for her daughter.

Sue brought samples of some of her absolutely beautiful needlepoint work.
It's been pretty hot these last few weeks, but Fall is right
around the corner. I'm starting to daydream about the cooler days and nights
when I'll make myself a pot of tea, sit by the fireplace, and start work on an
exciting new project. What will it be? An afghan? Some baby things? A
shawl?
It seems you are thinking about these things too... There's
been quite a lot of interest in the Needle Nerds over the last few weeks and,
I'm looking forward to meeting you at our future meetings.
