Happy New Year!
It was cold outside, but we needle nerds were toasty warm inside Jolty's Java enjoying a great cup of coffee and the camaraderie of fellow needlers. Julie continued to work on the delicate pastel green baby afghan she's been working on for months…it will be done one of these days - hopefully before the baby for which it is being made graduates from school! Charlene started work on a gorgeous full size afghan as a graduation present for a college bound young lady (start now and it should be completed by May!). Peggy brought some vintage yarn given to her by a family friend and asked for suggestions for her next project. Thelma gave a lesson on “how to calculate how much yarn you have when there is no label.” It was especially informative, and the coffee scale at Jolty’s came in handy.
As always, the conversation was lively as we “needled” away our time together at Jolty’s. Hope to see you next month!
